it takes all types

YES. it is truly called “hippy land”. my pals jim & pen own/run the spot. jim & pen are brothers. they own no cellphones, have no facebook, no internet, mere intermittent electricity, & they live in the treehouse pictured.
each wet season, jim & pen collect driftwood that floats in from the sea to build on their empire. because the brothers never know which materials may float their way, they never draft any sort of “architectural plan”. it is an organic transformation of completely recycled and repurposed materials from mother nature.
up next? their biggest structure yet — a “kingdom for the bats” — wherein bats will shit & jim and pen will make a bloody fortune. BRILLIANT, right!? it takes all types, right?!
such a source of inspiration!
ps – i watched a monsoon roll in from that tree house two days ago. lightning flashes from it = featured in the final photo. tres tres d.o.p.e.
